Horizon Foundation makes a long term commitment to partner with the Blue Chip Award program
The 26th annual award ceremony will be held May 20, 2021

FORT MYERS, Fla. (Sept 22, 2020) – The Horizon Foundation is proud to announce its long term commitment to partner with the popular Blue Chip Community Business Awards program starting with its 26th annual event scheduled in 2021.

“The team at McGriff has done such an outstanding job developing the Blue Chip Awards over the past quarter of a century and we couldn’t be more honored to support its ongoing success with the Horizon Council and Lee County Economic Development Office,” said Horizon Foundation President Dan Eveloff.

The 26th Annual Blue Chip Community Business Awards program is scheduled for Thursday, May 20, 2021 and will be part of a larger multi-day series of business events that will culminate with the prestigious Industry Appreciation Awards luncheon on Friday, May 21, 2021.

“The move to partner with the Horizon Foundation, Horizon Council, Board of County Commissioners, and Lee County Economic Development Office was a logical next step for our program,” said Blue Chip program coordinator Scott Gregory. “Combining resources will ensure its continued growth and success, making it a real win-win for businesses and our community.”

In keeping with its founding principles created by former insurance executive and business leader, Gary V. Trippe, the Blue Chip program will recognize small business owners who have overcome adversity to achieve success. Thriving for-profit companies with their primary office located in Charlotte, Collier, or Lee County may apply. Eligible businesses must have been in continuous operation for at least three years under the same ownership and have five to 400 payroll employees. Registration for the event will remain free.
